58. Should I Stay or Should I Go?

Every once in a while you might get to a point in your career where you need to ask yourself: “Should I stay or should I go?”

Sometimes the answer to that question is an easy one. Sometimes the answer is obvious. But sometimes the answer is not so clear. Sometimes it takes looking at it the situation from different angles to decide what is best for us and our careers.

This week, Derek and Jeremy discuss what keeps them satisfied in their current role, and what it might take to decide to switch to a new gig.

Ask yourself a few key questions:
• Why am I doing this?
• What am I creating?
• Who and I working for?
• When, if ever, will this be released?
• Where am I working?
• How much am I making?

If you are satisfied with your answers to these questions, then stay where you are.

If you are unhappy with more answers than you’re comfortable with, start looking for a new role.
